Hazy Gates, SF Giants Brew & Spring Training Event | Goldwater Brewing Co.

Spring Training is finally here, the idyllic season of lawn hangs and delicious craft beer; it’s the perfect occasion to sip on some hoppy concoctions and keep cool while you watch the MLB Cactus League make its return. This yearly event is always a blast, often resulting in a handful of people stumbling out of the stadium, clear evidence of good times had. And new this year, San Fransisco Giants fans have even more festivities to look forward to at Scottsdale’s own Goldwater Brewing.

Not only have they brewed a tasty beer just for Giants fans, but they’ve created a beer garden in their backyard for you to come and enjoy your beer after the game! Which by the way, I have personally been dreaming about this for quite some time now. Complete with a food truck, live music, and corn hole, you really have no excuse not to drop in and spend some time at their brewhouse located on the corner of Scottsdale Road and Goldwater Boulevard.

Goldwater’s newest addition, Hazy Gates, is a light, hazy IPA, and the perfect beer for spring training consumption, especially for you Giants fans who want to responsibly extend the party with no hangover in sight. And you won’t have to worry about finding your way to Goldwater after the game as it’s an easy .3 miles from the front gates of the SF Giants stadium.

If you’re eager to cool down after basking in the sun all day, Goldwater also welcomes you to check out their naturally chilly Goldmine Underground Tap & Barrel Room where you’ll see a collection of barrel aged beers and craft lagers.

And the raddest part of this is that Goldwater is celebrating by hosting this event every Giants home game, making that a grand total of 16 beer garden shindigs to look forward to! That’s almost enough to turn me into a die hard Giants fan for that reason alone. Can one become a temporary bandwagon fan for brewery reasons? If so, say hello to the newest SF Giants fan; I’ll go buy my Buster Posey jersey ASAP.
