Pueblo Vida Brewing Anniversary Extravaganza

Anyone that’s been around the Tucson or Arizona craft beer scene for any period of time has at least heard of, and most likely tried a beer or two from Pueblo Vida Brewing Company. In the short time I have lived in Arizona, Pueblo Vida has quickly emerged one of the most sought after breweries in the state. Canning their beers and holding monthly can releases has been a game changer for the brewery. The monthly releases have developed a cult following and people tend to buy by the case to trade with people all over the country.

The release for November is extra special for a couple reasons. This month Pueblo Vida is celebrating their third anniversary with a three day anniversary party extravaganza. They kick off the anniversary weekend with the release of Fantasma #1 on November 10. Fantasma is their first bottle release ever and it sounds like a special one. They brewed this beer all the way back in May 2016 and it is a mixed fermentation saison, conditioned in oak barrels with Brettanomyces for 15 months. Three months ago they bottled it and have been letting it bottle condition ever since.

November 11 they will have a triple can release of all their anniversary beers so far. IPA lovers will be in for a treat, with three double IPAs set to be released. “1” is a double IPA originally brewed to celebrate their first anniversary. It’s brewed with malted oats and dry-hopped with El Dorado, Galaxy, and Simcoe lupulin powder. “2” is a double IPA brewed last year for their second anniversary (also the first beer they ever canned). Brewed with malted wheat, rye, and local Sonoran white wheat. It’s then dry-hopped with Galaxy and Nelson. “3” is this year’s anniversary double IPA. 3 is brewed with pilsner malt and malted oats and then dry-hopped with Citra, Mosaic lupulin powder, and Galaxy.

In addition to the crazy amount of beer releases over the week, they will have food trucks Friday and Saturday nights and a “Thank You” brunch on Sunday. If you didn’t get enough from all of the can and bottle releases, Pueblo Vida is also releasing four of their favorite infusions. Anyone that knows Pueblo Vida knows that they love their infusions and they aren’t something you’ll want to miss out on.
