Operation Extended Cider Hours
On Friday February 23rd despite what a furry creature back east says, spring is going to officially begin here in Phoenix and that means one thing, it’s time for spring training. To the delight of baseball fans living in Arizona the next four weeks will be full of opportunities to spend the day watching their favorite team prepare for this year’s season. However, something else is about to be unveiled and I’m much more excited about it’s implications. To coincide with the celebration of optimal weather, sports and an influx of heavy foot traffic I couldn’t be more excited to share the news of Mesa, AZ’s Cider Corps expanding their hours, cider fans rejoice!
Beginning Friday the 23rd and being planned to last through March 23rd you will be able to visit the cidery taproom in Mesa Tuesdays through Saturday 11am-11pm to experience the cutting edge and trend setting craft cider being produced right here in AZ by the Duren brothers, Jason and Josh respectfully. Their motto and invitation of, “drink great cider. Honor great sacrifice”, will be of special importance Friday the 23rd as the Mayor and city of Mesa will be dedicating the first Purple Heart parking spot at the cidery in their continued mission to give back and support the military community, it’s veterans and families.
In addition to this proud moment they will also have their purple heart cider on draft as well. Fans of spring training who attend one of the two ball parks located in Mesa will receive an added bonus of $1 off a pint with their same day tickets. If you haven’t visited Cider Corps yet or if you are like me and look for every opportunity to swing by there will also be the added bonus of a slushy machine featuring new flavors of cider and attendees on Saturdays can give cidermosas (like momosas or beermosas but with cider) a shot. In all it’s a great time for cider fans, baseball fans and anyone looking for something awesome to do, be sure to get to the Corps and get drafted!
