AZ Beer Week in Prescott and Verde Valley

For my wife and I, the Prescott and Verde Valley area is an absolute favorite get away from the valley destination. Thanks to the region’s beautiful scenery, phenomenal food options, and of course the wide array of local wine, we never come home wanting for more. I mean, it’s difficult to beat the long weekend trifecta of Prescott, Jerome, and Cottonwood. Whiskey Row is never not a good time. The views, meals, and wine, in Jerome, are an experience everyone must have at least once… but definitely more than once. Meanwhile, Cottonwood boasts some of the best wines and dining, in the state! Yes, dining. Don’t roll your eyes at me. Not to mention the great things happening in Clarkdale, Cornville and Page Springs. This region should not be overlooked by any food and beverage lover.

There’s more than just great food and wine happening in the region, though. Prescott is home to places like Granite Mountain Brewing, Prescott Brewing, and of course Superstition Meadery. State Bar, in old town Cottonwood, is a beer lover’s oasis in the heart of wine country and they only offer local brews and wine. Verde Valley Brewing, in Camp Verde, offers a solid selection of brews and delicious food. There’s so much awesome happening here (a lot more than this quick list) so if you haven’t made the trip to any of these places, what better reason than AZ Beer Week to get up there and experience what this lovely region has to offer.

Here’s a quick list of Beer Week events; check it out and get there! You won’t be disappointed.

Honorable Mentions

Added bonus! I’m throwing a few of my favorite spots in the list. They may not be hosting Beer Week events but if you’re in the area, they are a must stop.

Four Eight Wineworks – Clarkdale

Small, but delicious, tap list and can/bottle selection plus a phenomenal selection of local wine. All wrapped up in a killer space. Ask them about their story and make sure to get #onefortheverde!

R.I.O.T. – Cottonwood

Fun atmosphere, fantastic tap list, delicious food. I can’t say enough good things about this place.

Merkin Osteria – Cottonwood

You haven’t had pasta or gnocchi this good. Go. You’re welcome.

Okay, there it is. I’m off to plan our next trip because now I can’t stop thinking about how much I love this area. Let us know, in the comments, if you make it to any of these events or hit us up on Facebook and share your experience.

Cheers!

*Not technically a Beer Week event but this place is great and you should go there!
