Living in the area deemed “Arcadia-Lite”, gives me a bit of an advantage when it comes to amazing little places to try out. I’ve been frequenting TEN for the last 10 months or so and I can’t get enough. One of the things I love most about TEN is the food. It reminds me of my mom. Don’t get me wrong. It’s not standard home cooking. But it’s the love. The southern flair. The comfort with a twist. Let me spell it out for you…
Fried. Green. Tomatoes.
During Happy Hour, Fried Green Tomatoes are only $3.50! I’ve been known to order more than one dish and eat them as my entire dinner. sigh
Some other favorites? If you enjoy southern fare… you’ll appreciate the Shrimp and Gritcakes or maybe the Hushpuppies! Prefer something on the lighter side? The Fish Tacos are superb. The Happy Hour Menu isn’t on their website, but food items range from $3 – $5. I consider them “small plates”.
Let’s talk cocktails! Happy Hour cocktails are $5 each, as well as the house wine. Both craft and domestic beers are $3. My favorite bartender is Bretton. He truly loves what he does. Brett remembers the drinks of his regulars and has them up often before you order. He greets you with a smile and asks how you’re doing- not out of habit, but because he really wants to know. Brett’s drinks are some of the best I’ve ever had. He handcrafts each one with such love! And often times… he pours a celebratory shot for those sitting at the small bar. TEN is just that kind of place. Friendly. Welcoming. And delicious.
