Mission Statement: Our goal is to find great dishes and simply share them with our Az Food & Wine community.

With that said, it’s not all about new and exciting restaurants and dishes. Some of the best restaurants in Phoenix have not only stood the test of time, but they’ve set the standards. Saturday we visited Kona Grill (that’s been in the valley for years) and ordered one of our favorite rolls, the Yamada. This roll is layered with flavors and sea bass is one of my favorite fish of all time. The crab, avocado, cucumber and sea bass compliment each other so well and are topped to perfection with a sweet & spicy sauce and fried wonton slivers.

Try this roll for yourself and tell us you don’t agree…it’s all about the bass!
