My Blood Type is Coffee…and Beer! Arcadia Sip Coffee & Beer Garage

The Drinks & Dishes: Good Coffee & Beer
The Place: Sip Coffee & Beer Garage
The Location: 3620 E. Indian School Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85018

What do you get when you combine local craft beer, gourmet locally-roasted coffee, delicious locally-sourced food and a former oil repair shop? You get Sip Coffee & Beer Garage (3620 E. Indian School Rd.), the all-new restaurant and lounge coming to Phoenix’s Arcadia/Biltmore area this September. Now under construction inside a longtime Avis Lubrication shop, this sleek industrial space is being completely transformed into a stylish yet cozy neighborhood hangout, serving the finest locally sourced coffee, beer, and food, and including a dedicated drive-thru lane.

Owned and operated by Tida and Travis Radevski, Sip’s new location is a spinoff of their popular Sip Coffee & Beer House in downtown Scottsdale. Much like the original, Sip Coffee & Beer Garage will offer a full selection of Cartel Coffee Lab coffees, as well as handcrafted cocktails and an extensive list of locally-focused beer and wine, including 24 beers and 6 wines on tap. Furthermore, Sip will boast and extensive menu of chef-crafted fare, including their signature breakfast burritos, crisp salads, hearty paninis and gourmet bar bites. Plus, look for daily happy hour from 4 – 7 pm, and a wide variety of fun events hosted nightly, such as open mic, nightly live local music, a Coffee and Cars series and Yoga.

When completed in September, this former auto lube shop will offer approximately 100 seats, unspooling across six former repair bays, as well as an expansive dining patio outfitted with Sip’s signature shabby-chic décor brimming with vintage finds and funky furnishings. The building’s exteriors, meanwhile, have been sandblasted and a covered drive-thru lane added, but otherwise left as is. “We knew we wanted to be in the Arcadia area, and fell in love with the building as soon as we saw it,” Travis Radevski says. “One of our goals with both Sip locations was to creatively reuse old, empty spaces, so we wanted to embrace that fact that this was a former neighborhood garage.”
